“Blood donation is the highest form of service of humanity”: Pandey

JNS: Intending to save lives with safe transfusion of blood during the scarcity of Blood, DVC – CTPS has come forward to donate blood voluntarily today at Chandrapur in Bokaro district. A total of 23 units of blood were donated voluntarily in a blood donation camp organised by DVC and the Indian Red Cross Society at Shaheed Tilkamjhi Memorial DVC Hospital Chandrapura.

The blood donation camp was formally inaugurated by Senior General Manager and Project Head Sunil Kumar Pandey, General Manager Devvrat Das and TT Das, Deputy General Manager Administration.

Speaking on the occasion, Pandey said, donating blood is the highest form of service of humanity, a service for saving the lives of children and people suffering from thalassemia and other diseases.

“Blood donation does not have any bad effect on the body. That’s why all healthy people should donate blood,” he added.

Besides others, Deputy General Manager KK Singh, Dr KP Singh, Dr AK Srivastava, Dr Paramveer Kumar, Dr Laxman Soren, Dr S. Hembram, Dr A. Tigga, Ashok Kumar, Deepak Kumar, BK, Mohapatra, Lilli Pushpa Tigga, Ragini Soreng, Red Cross Society Dr SK Sinha, Ranjan Kumar, Gamdev Kumar, Suman Kumari, Sonu Rajak, Vikas Kumar, Central Industrial Security Force Deputy Commandant Nakul Verma, Ajay Kumar, and CISF personnel, hospital staff were present in the camp.
