Bokaro teachers honoured with ‘Guru Vashishtha Samman’

JNS: At least 65 teachers of 33 schools across Bokaro district were honoured with the Guru Vashishtha Best Teacher Award on Friday.

Aiming to pay respect to the architects of the society DPS Bokaro convened the fifth Guru Vashishtha Best Teacher Award ceremony 2021 under the aegis of Dr Radhakrishnan Sahodaya School Complex Bokaro.

Kuldeep Chaudhary, Deputy Commissioner, Bokaro was the Chief Guest of the occasion. Other dignitaries included Anil Kumar Gupta – Vice President Dr. Radhakrishnan Sahodaya School Complex, Biswajit Patra — Secretary, Father Reji C. Varghese — Treasurer and  Sister Kamla Paul — Cultural Secretary.

The ceremony commenced with the auspicious lamp lighting followed by the welcome song and the school song. The show witnessed two mesmerising dances and a synchronised orchestral  performance too.

Children presented a special rendition on ‘Guru Mahima’. The Chief Guest felicitated the teacher awardees with a certificate, a memento and a shawl. Anil Kumar Gupta -Vice President Dr. Radhakrishnan Sahodaya School Complex highlighted the workings of the Sahodaya while Biswajit Patra – Secretary proposed the vote of thanks.

The programme was anchored by Mitali Singh and Shikhar Sharma (XII D), Utkarsh Vaibhav and Ritika (XII B) and Samridhi Dubey (XB).

Addressing the august gathering, the Chief Guest said, “In the present education scenario, the role of a ‘guru’ is multi-dimensional and with that they must make learning joyful to make the learners believe in themselves.” He appreciated the phenomenal performances of the students and added that Bokaro is an educational hub. He had special words

for Dr. Radhakrishnan Sahodaya School Complex that plays an instrumental role in enhancing the holistic development of the students.

In his address A.S. Gangwar, President, Dr Radhakrishnan Sahodaya School Complex cum Principal, DPS Bokaro said,  “Such teachers honouring conclaves help to acknowledge the  excellence of the teachers who play a pivotal role in shaping a positive society and thereby strengthening the nation.”

“In order to meet the changing needs of the learners, the teachers must hone their skills,” he added.
