Bokaro: Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) has set a new benchmark for itself in FY 2024-2025, registering its best-ever performance across multiple production, dispatch, and techno-economic parameters.
The plant achieved record-breaking hot metal production through its four-furnace operations, alongside record levels of crude steel production from SMS-New. Additionally, total crude steel and CR saleable steel have reached new heights, with significant improvements in energy consumption, coke rate, CDI rate, and dispatch of granulated slag.
In comparison to the previous year, BSL has witnessed notable growth in key products. The production of hot metal increased by 5.0%, crude steel by 4.7%, and CR saleable steel by 8.7% during FY 2024-2025.
On April 1, the top management of Bokaro Steel Plant, led by Director-in-Charge Shri Birendra Kumar Tiwari, visited various departments to congratulate the entire BSL team—including officers, employees, and contract workers—on these outstanding achievements. During the visit, they urged the workforce to continue striving for higher performance levels in the new financial year, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
