JNS: DPS Bokaro holds a felicitation ceremony, ‘Medha-the Prowess,’ to celebrate academic and extracurricular achievements at its campus on Wednesday.
The event witnessed the felicitation of approximately eighty outstanding students who excelled in scholastic and non-academic pursuits.
The ceremony commenced with the school’s anthem and the melodious strains of the traditional welcome song “Padharo Mhare Desh” as a ceremonial lamp was lit, symbolizing the commencement of the festivities. The audience was treated to a mesmerizing fusion of Bharatnatyam and Kathak dance performances, showcasing the rich cultural diversity of India. The highlight of the cultural segment was an enchanting dance performance that narrated the life and achievements of the renowned dancer Sudha Chandran.
The 35th Annual Magazine, titled “DIPS Reflection” for the academic year 2022-23, was unveiled during the event, showcasing the hard work and creativity of both students and faculty.
Additionally, the ceremony paid tribute to the winners of the 34th annual Aryabhatta Mathematics Competition, a testament to DPS Bokaro’s longstanding commitment to fostering mathematical talent nationwide.
The event began with a warm welcome message from Head Girl Anmoli Singh, followed by a vote of gratitude delivered by Head Boy Yash Gaurav. For the academic year 2022-2023, Chenab House was honoured as the top dormitory, adding to the evening’s jubilant atmosphere.
B.K. Tiwari, the Executive Director of Works at Bokaro Steel Ltd, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, adding prestige and significance to the event. Tiwari commended the institution and its educators for their impressive track record across diverse domains. He encouraged the students present to believe in themselves and work diligently towards creating a brighter future.
Principal Dr. A.S. Gangwar underscored the significance of the event, stating, “In the realm of academia, success is often measured by grades, but Medha acknowledges and celebrates the exceptional achievements of our students in the vibrant tapestry of both curricular and co-curricular pursuits, nurturing them into well-rounded global leaders.”
