Bokaro: DPS Chas athletes showcased outstanding skill and commitment at the 24th Jharkhand State Sub-junior and Junior Taekwondo Championship, held from July 5th to 7th at Ideal International School, Ranchi.
The Bokaro Taekwondo team achieved a remarkable feat as the 2nd Runner-up, clinching a total of 46 medals, including 10 Gold and 6 Silver, contributing significantly to the district’s overall tally of 21 Gold, 19 Silver, and 6 Bronze medals. Ranchi emerged as the Championship winner, with Jamshedpur securing the First Runner-up position.
In the Sub-junior category, DPS Chas students excelled with Jai Hansda (VI), Ansh (VIII), Akshat (VIII), Prerna Tudu (VI), and Shriyanshi Shree (VI) securing Gold medals. Piyush Raj (VI) and Shivansh (VI) added to the tally with Silver medals. In the Junior category, Anmol (VIII), Raj Tudu (IX), Abhishek Mahato (IX), Mubarak Ansari (VIII), and Jaya Mahato (VII) showcased their prowess by winning Gold, while Shubham Ray (VIII), Bivek Mahato (VIII), Animesh Bouri (VIII), and Soumya (VI) earned Silver medals.
Chief Mentor Dr. Hemlata S. Mohan praised the students for their dedication and skill, extending her congratulations to the coaches, teachers, and parents for their unwavering support.
