I-Day celebrated with fervour and grandeur at DPS Bokaro

 

Bokaro: The 77th Independence Day was celebrated with fervour and grandeur. The entire school fraternity, including teachers, staff, and students from both the senior and primary wings, came together to commemorate the occasion.

Amidst the captivating decorations adorned with tri-coloured balloons, the school’s Principal, Dr A.S. Gangwar, unfurled the national flag, symbolizing unity and pride. The resonance of the national anthem echoed through the premises as everyone saluted the flag with unwavering patriotism.

In a heartwarming gesture, the Principal extended his warm wishes to all attendees and emphasized the significance of Independence Day. The students’ musical rendition of the school song and various patriotic songs beautifully conveyed the spirit of nationalism.

The event was a testament to the students’ energy and passion, a reflection of their deep-rooted love for the nation.

He took a moment to personally receive creatively crafted cards from the students, a sincere token of their appreciation. In a symbolic gesture, he distributed miniature flags to the school family members, inspiring the call of “Har Haath Tiranga”.

Dr Gangwar expressed that the nation has earned hard-fought freedom from British rule; after countless sacrifices and struggles, this remains a cherished milestone. The 15th of August stands as a day of profound importance for every Indian, a day to honour the valour of our martyrs and heroes who bestowed us with the precious gift of independence.

He further emphasized, “The development of national values in children during their student life is imperative. Through this, they become true patriots and responsible citizens of our country.”

A special assembly was conducted to commemorate this occasion, wherein Srijeeta of Class XI recited poetry paying tribute to the Indian Army while Kumari Kripa Jha of Class XI delivered an inspiring speech to evoke the youth and urged them to take on the responsibility of a true citizen.

He stressed on the significance of unity, integrity, culture, and tradition, labelling them as our invaluable treasures that require preservation. He urged the students to uphold the ‘ Nation First, Always First’ feeling. The entire school campus reverberated with the resounding slogans of “Vande Mataram,” “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” and “Jai Hind,” reflecting the unison of voices and hearts.

The celebration concluded with the students’ renewed sense of patriotism and responsibility. The event stood as a beacon of hope, igniting the flame of patriotism in every heart and reminding all that the spirit of independence lives on.
