I would intervene on Kashmir issue, if Pakistan wants:Trump

Washington: That the resolution of the Kashmir dispute depends on India and Pakistan, but if both South Asian neighbors want their help in resolving this decades-old issue, US President Donald Trump said. She is ready for it.

Trump quoted a meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan last week in which he offered to help solve the Kashmir issue. India rejected this offer while Pakistan welcomed Trump’s statement. On a question asked on behalf of India’s removal of Kashmir mediated offer, Trump told reporters, “This (accepting the offer of arbitration) depends entirely on the Prime Minister (Narendra Modi).”

When Trump asked about India’s removal of the mediation proposal, he questioned the tone of the matter. “Did they accept the offer or not?” Trump said, “In my opinion, they are the best people – I mean Khan and Modi. I think it may be a good dialogue between the two, but if they want to intervene for their help, and I talked to Pakistan about this and also from India. ” Regrettably also, the Kashmir issue has been going on for a long time. When he asked Trump “how he wants to resolve the Kashmir issue”, he said, “If they want, I will certainly intervene. “Trump had surprised India with a joint press conference with Khan at its Oval Office last week saying that Prime Minister Modi had sought mediation on Kashmir issue.
