New Delhi: The Indian Army has launched comprehensive trials of cutting-edge defence technologies at key sites across the country, including the Pokhran and Babina Field Firing Ranges, as well as Joshimath, the Ministry of Defence announced on Saturday.
These trials are being conducted under near-combat conditions, incorporating electronic warfare simulations to rigorously evaluate the capabilities of new-age systems. Upcoming air defence equipment demonstrations are also planned in Agra and Gopalpur.

The trials showcase a broad spectrum of advanced platforms developed under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative. Systems under evaluation include Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), Precision-Guided Munitions, Loitering Munitions, Low-Level Lightweight Radars, Electronic Warfare Systems, and vertical-launch drones.
The demonstrations have attracted significant participation from defence industry partners, reflecting a strong push towards indigenization and rapid integration of emerging technologies to address evolving battlefield challenges.
