Bokaro: Madhur Maithili, a prominent figure in Maithili cinema, is bubbling with excitement as the highly anticipated Maithili web series, “Noon Roti,” is set to make its debut on Madhur Maithili’s YouTube channel on 27 October.
This momentous occasion marks a significant milestone in Madhur Maithili’s career, as the success of this web series represents a transformative moment for him.
The director-writer of “Noon Roti Maithili Web Series,” Vikas Jha, made this exciting announcement during a press briefing at the Mithila Academy School campus in Bokaro.
The web series, set in Bihar and the Mithila province, tackles the pressing issues of unemployment and migration from a unique perspective.
It also endeavours to present tangible solutions for promoting tourism and economic self-sufficiency in the Mithila region.
In Mithila Bihar, government jobs hold a strong allure, often diverting young individuals away from self-employment and entrepreneurship. The upcoming series aims to engage in a meaningful discourse on this subject.
Highlighting the significance of promoting Maithili content in Jharkhand, Roshni Jha, the executive producer and lead actress of “Noon Roti,” has appealed to the Maithil community in Bokaro and the entire population of Jharkhand to watch this groundbreaking Maithili web series.
“Noon Roti” will be exclusively available on Madhur Maithili’s YouTube channel. The series comprises eight episodes, with the first episode offered for free, while the subsequent seven episodes require a subscription fee of Rs 299 via Madhur Maithili’s YouTube page.
The production of “Noon Roti” took place across various districts and localities in Mithila, including Darbhanga, Madhubani, Saharsa, Sitamarhi, Bhagalpur, and East Champaran. This effort was aimed at expanding the horizons of commercial tourism in Bihar and the Mithila region.
Remarkably, all the cast members are talented theatre artists hailing from Mithila Bihar. Some captivating scenes from the web series were filmed at the Mandan Bharati Ashram in Mahishi, Saharsa, Kosi area.
The stellar cast of “Noon Roti” includes Diwakar Jha, Adarsh Bhardwaj, Rishabh Kashyap, Mani Kaushik, Nikhil Mishra, Pragya Jha, Satyendra Jha, Sohail Sultan, Prashant Rana, Sagar Singh, and Sumit Sri.
Vikas Jha, the series’ producer, writer, and director, along with his wife, Mrs. Roshni Jha, take on key roles in the series. They are already well-known in Mithila for their popular comedy-entertainment show, “Alar Balar,” on the Madhur Maithili channel, with Roshni Jha also assuming the persona of Lal Kaki.
The cinematography team comprises Anand Soni and Vikas Jha, while Mahesh Kumbhar handles the film editing under Vikas Jha’s supervision. Shashank Jha is responsible for colour editing, and Shankar Singh manages the sound arrangement.
A special mention goes to the enchanting song “Noon Roti Sang Lene Chalu Hamro,” which has captured the hearts of the Maithil audience. This melodious track was beautifully sung by the talented emerging singer Priya Mallik, with Prem Prakash Karna as the music composer.
The “Noon Roti” team is currently on a promotional tour across various regions in Bihar, starting with a news conference in Delhi. Following the Delhi event, the team will visit Muzaffarpur, Madhubani, Saharsa, Madhepur, Bhagalpur, Purnia, and Deoghar in Jharkhand. On 26 October, the official premiere of “Noon Roti” will take place in Patna, the capital of Bihar.
Harimohan Jha, Chairman of the Mithila Sanskritik Parishad (MSP), and Shivesh Pathak extended their congratulations to the “Noon Roti” team on their remarkable achievement. Besides others, Amresh Jha, Vice Chairman MSP; Avinash Jha, Secretary MSP; PK Jha Chandan, Secretary Mithila Academy School; Vijay Jha, Editor Mithila Varnan and Gangesh Pathak were present on the ocassion.
