‘Operation Sindoor’ : Just ‘One Arrow from Our Quiver’, Says PM Modi

Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday hailed the success of Operation Sindoor, declaring it a powerful display of the bravery of Indian soldiers and a tribute to the indomitable spirit of Indian women. Addressing a public gathering in Karakat, Bihar, the Prime Minister issued a stern warning to India’s enemies, stating that the country would respond swiftly and decisively to any form of threat, including terrorism and Naxalism.

“The world has witnessed the strength of our daughters’ sindoor and the unmatched courage of the Border Security Force (BSF) during Operation Sindoor,” said Modi. “The enemy must realise that this was just one arrow from our quiver.”

The operation was carried out in retaliation for the brutal terror attack at Baisaran Valley in Pahalgam, which killed 26 Indian tourists. Modi reminded the people that he had promised a strong response and had delivered on that pledge.

“A day after the attack, I stood on this soil and promised that those responsible would face a punishment beyond their imagination,” he said. “Today, I return to Bihar after fulfilling that resolution. Our Army has reduced terrorist hideouts in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and beyond to rubble. They destroyed the dens of those who dared to tarnish the dignity of our sisters.”

Apart from national security, the Prime Minister also focused on developmental progress in Bihar, inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for projects worth over Rs 48,520 crore includes: Four-Lane Patna-Gaya-Dobhi section of NH-22, valued at Rs 5,500 crore, which significantly boosts connectivity between Patna and Gaya; A section of the Four-Lane Elevated Highway in Gopalganj Town on NH-27, worth over Rs 249 crore and The third rail line between Son Nagar and Mohammad Ganj, a Rs 1,330 crore project that enhances rail infrastructure in the region.

Modi underlined the role of the “double-engine government”—a term referring to BJP-led governments at both the state and central levels—in accelerating the all-round development of Bihar.

“These infrastructure projects are not just milestones of progress but pillars of a secure and prosperous India,” he said.

The address struck a powerful blend of national pride, military success, and developmental promises, ahead of the ongoing political season.
