Jharkhand’s Young Archers Shine: 21 Medals for Vedanta ESL Academy

Bokaro: The young archers of Vedanta ESL Archery Academy have delivered a standout performance on both state and national stages, claiming a combined 21 medals this month and placing Jharkhand firmly in the spotlight of Indian archery.

At the 16th State Archery Championship held from 14–17 November at JRD Tata Sports Complex, Jamshedpur, 12 archers represented the academy — and 9 of them returned with medals. The tally: 5 Gold, 3 Silver, and 13 Bronze.

State-Level Medal Winners

  • Kuldeep Mahato – 4 Gold, 5 Bronze
  • Sandeep – 3 Bronze
  • Chitranjan Tudu – 1 Bronze
  • Meghnath – 1 Bronze
  • Niroj – 1 Bronze
  • Nirmal – 1 Bronze
  • Doli Kumari – 1 Gold, 1 Silver
  • Bani Munda – 1 Silver
  • Kritika Kumari – 1 Silver, 1 Bronze
  • Taking the momentum further, Kuldeep Mahato shone again at the 42nd NTPC Sub-Junior National Archery Championship held from 22–30 November in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, bringing home three Gold medals in the 20m, Team, and Mixed Team categories.
