Bokaro: Vedanta ESL commemorated the 81st National Fire Service Week with a dynamic series of fire safety awareness programs, hands-on training, and community engagement initiatives, reinforcing its unwavering commitment to safety and emergency preparedness.
The week-long observance began with high-impact demonstrations including a live “Rescue from Work at Height” operation and a fire drill conducted by Vedanta ESL’s Fire Safety Team, showcasing critical response skills and preparedness.
Over 1,000 individuals, including 700 business partners and 300 employees, received intensive fire safety training.
As part of its CSR outreach, the ESL Fire Team also visited SJM School in Bijulia to educate over 70 students on household fire prevention and driving safety practices.
Interactive activities like quizzes and a poster competition were organized to further promote fire safety awareness through creative and engaging formats.
Commenting on the initiative, Tapesh Chandra Naskar, Director – Central Engineering and HSES, said, “Fire safety is a continuous mindset at Vedanta ESL. This week was not only about training but about inspiring a collective culture of safety.”
Located in Siyaljori, Bokaro, Vedanta ESL operates a 1.5 MTPA greenfield integrated steel plant and continues to align its operations with international standards, with safety as a key operational pillar.
