Bokaro: Bokaro Steel Plant’s Hot Strip Mill (HSM) celebrated a major milestone on 12 December 2025, completing 50 years of uninterrupted, high-performance operations since its commissioning in 1975.
Executive Director (Operations) Priya Ranjan led the Golden Jubilee celebrations, cutting a cake and applauding the HSM team for five decades of strong production, technological advancement and contribution to India’s industrial growth. He described the mill as a “vital pillar” of BSL’s output and a key producer of high-quality flat steel products crucial for national infrastructure.
Executive Director (Operations) Anup Kumar Dutt, addressing the gathering, credited the achievement to the unit’s teamwork, innovation, technical skill and steadfast focus on safety, quality and customer satisfaction. He urged the workforce to sustain the same dedication in the years ahead.
Senior officials, including CGM (Maintenance) Sharad Gupta and CGM (HSM) P.K. Verma, joined employees and contract workers at the ceremony held at the HSM premises. Welcoming the attendees, Verma congratulated the team for its continued excellence and commitment throughout the mill’s 50-year journey.
