News Desk: More than 100 students at a senior secondary school in south China have fallen ill after a norovirus outbreak, prompting swift containment measures by local health and education authorities.
Officials said 103 students from Xinghui Senior High School reported symptoms of acute gastroenteritis, including vomiting and diarrhoea. All affected students are in stable condition, with no critical cases reported.
The cluster was identified after multiple students sought medical attention within a short period. Health teams quickly intervened, ordering large-scale disinfection of classrooms, dormitories and dining areas. Infected students were isolated for observation, while close contacts were placed under monitoring.
