Bokaro: The Town Administration–Horticulture Department of Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) has brought colour and fragrance to the city with the two-day flower exhibition ‘Pushpita-2026’, underway at Jawaharlal Nehru Biological Park (JNB Park) on February 21–22.
The vibrant show was inaugurated on Saturday morning by BSL Executive Director (HR) Rajshree Banerjee in the presence of senior officials including Executive Director (Materials Management) C.R. Mishra, Executive Director (Projects) Anish Sengupta, Executive Director (Medical & Health Services) Dr. B.B. Karunamoy, Chief General Manager (Services) Arvind Kumar, Chief General Manager (Civil Administration) Kundan Kumar, and General Manager (Horticulture) Lambodar Upadhyay, along with employees and participants.

The exhibition showcases floral creativity across four categories — public entries, schools, nurseries and individual gardeners from Bokaro. Visitors can explore a rich display of seasonal blooms, ornamental plants, artistic floral arrangements and innovative landscaping concepts. Around 200 flower pots have been put on display by participants.
A panel of judges will shortlist the top three exhibits, which will be honoured with awards. The winning displays will also represent the City Administration and Horticulture Department at Basant Mela 2026.
The exhibition will conclude with a prize distribution ceremony scheduled for February 22 at 5 pm.
