INS Aridhaman is believed to be more advanced than its predecessors, featuring improved stealth, endurance, and strike capability. Built under the classified Advanced Technology Vessel project, the submarine is powered by a nuclear reactor, allowing it to remain submerged for extended durations.
It can carry nuclear-capable submarine-launched ballistic missiles such as:
- K-15 (short-range)
- K-4 (intermediate-range)
Enhanced vertical launch systems enable it to deploy a larger missile payload, increasing both range and operational flexibility.
