Patna/Gaya: Bihar’s Shubham Kumar has emerged as the national topper in JEE Advanced 2026, securing All India Rank (AIR) 1 and bringing laurels to the state. The Gaya resident achieved an exceptional score of 330 out of 360 marks, making him the highest-ranked candidate in one of India’s most competitive engineering entrance examinations.
Hailing from Nadraganj in Gaya district, Shubham’s achievement has sparked celebrations across Bihar. Having prepared rigorously for the examination over the past two years, he credited his success to consistent hard work, disciplined study habits, and regular practice.
Shubham had earlier demonstrated his academic excellence by securing a 100 percentile in both sessions of JEE Main 2026. While he was confident of performing well, he said securing the top rank in the country was a moment of immense happiness and pride.
