Bokaro boy brings laurel to the nation, wins International Olympiad

JNS: Shiven Sinha, a Bokaro boy, brought laurels not only to the state but also the country as he represented India in Asia Pacific Informatics Olympiad 2021 (APIO 2021) and got Bronze Medal for the country.

Shiven, a student of Class XII at DPS Bokaro Steel City, won Gold Medal in the Indian National Informatics Olympiad and hence qualified to represent the country.

APIO 2021 organized online (5-hour contest) by Indonesia from 22nd to 24th May 2021. APIO is an International Olympiad for Informatics (IOI) like competition for delegations within the South Asian or Western Pacific region.

“Life is not always a bed of roses, and money cannot buy everything in life; helping someone curing his pain and anxiety gives us utmost happiness,” said Shiven.

His father, Dr. Prabhat Kumar, is Deputy Chief Medical Officer at Bokaro General Hospital (BGH) at BSL, mother Savita Sinha, is a housewife.
