Mumbai: In a major opportunity to gain hands-on industry experience, 27 students of JD Institute of Fashion Technology have been selected as finalists for an Industry Apprenticeship at the India Design Show 2026 in Mumbai.

The students were shortlisted from a pool of 75 candidates through a video introduction round. They will participate in the three-day event from October 9 to 11 at the Jio World Convention Centre, where they will get first-hand exposure to the professional design ecosystem.

The India Design Show brings together designers, brands and creative professionals through curated exhibitions, installations, product launches and industry discussions. The platform offers emerging designers an opportunity to explore new ideas, understand industry trends and interact with professionals from diverse creative fields.

The selected students represent Fashion, Interior Design and Visual Communication programmes across different academic years at JD Institute of Fashion Technology. Through the apprenticeship, they will gain practical insights into the functioning of the design industry, understand professional workflows and observe how different creative disciplines collaborate in a real-world environment.

Congratulating the students on their achievement, Yogesh Dalal, Trustee, and Dr Payal Dalal, Director, personally appreciated them for earning this opportunity and encouraged them to make the most of the industry exposure.
