JNS: Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) has achieved yet another milestone by securing the esteemed 23rd Greentech Environment Award-2023 in the category of “Environmental Excellence.”
Arvind Kumar, who serves as CGM (SMS-II & CCS), handed over the Greentech Foundation Environmental Excellence Award for the year 2023 to Executive Director (Operations) Birendra Kumar Tiwari On Tuesday.
The accolade was received by Arvind Kumar on behalf of Bokaro Steel Plant during the “23rd Annual Greentech Environment Summit – 2023,” which took place in Sonamarg, Jammu & Kashmir, on 23-24 November.
Notably, a presentation was delivered by Nitish Ranjan, Assistant General Manager (Environment), to the jury members on November 07, 2023, and any inquiries posed by the jury were expertly addressed by NP Srivastava, General Manager (Environment).
The jury was highly impressed by Bokaro Steel Plant’s proactive measures in environmental protection and its commitment to adopting sustainable practices in steel manufacturing. Following a thorough evaluation of the application and presentation, the jury members proudly declared Bokaro Steel Plant as the victor for its remarkable accomplishments in the field of “Environmental Excellence.”
During this momentous occasion, Executive Director (Operations) Birendra Kumar Tiwari extended his congratulations to the entire BSL Group and urged all stakeholders to uphold the principles of a circular economy, environmental stewardship, and energy conservation in all production endeavors.
This achievement underscores Bokaro Steel Plant’s unwavering dedication to environmental excellence and sustainable practices in the steel industry.
