Burj Khalifa illuminated in tricolours on I-Day

Dubai: In a stunning display of solidarity and celebration, the world-renowned Burj Khalifa, Dubai‘s towering architectural marvel, shimmered in the hues of the Indian flag on Tuesday evening to commemorate India‘s 77th Independence Day.

The Burj Khalifa, a towering monument to modernity and progress, was used to honour India’s momentous occasion. As night fell upon Dubai, the massive building lit up in the saffron, white, and green of the Indian flag, creating a colorful and uplifting glow across the city’s skyline.

The Burj Khalifa, known for its custom of lighting up the facade with the flags of friendly countries, showed its support for India by donning the tricolour glow. The exhibition reflected the everlasting friendship and collaboration between the United Arab Emirates and India and highlighted the longstanding ties between the two countries.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai, wished India a happy Independence Day. He wrote on X: “As India celebrates its 77th Independence Day, I extend my congratulations to the leadership and the people of this great nation. On this joyous occasion, the UAE reaffirms its commitment to building a future of shared prosperity and growth, elevating our partnership to new heights, and exploring new horizons of political, economic, and cultural relations. Happy Independence Day, Swatantrata Diwas!”
