“CCL Ke Lal” & “CCL Ki Ladli” initiatives celebrate, as five students qualify for JEE (Adv.)

Ranchi: Under the ambitious social responsibility project “CCL Ke Lal & CCL Ki Ladli,” five students have successfully qualified for the prestigious JEE Advanced 2024, one of India’s top engineering entrance exams.

The successful candidates are Pawan Kumar Munda, Alok Kumar, Md. Kaif Raza, Vatan Kumar, and Pratik Kumar. Pawan, Alok, and Kaif come from farming families, while Vatan’s father runs a small shop, and Pratik’s father is a private teacher.

CCL CMD Nilendu Kumar Singh congratulated the successful students and extended his best wishes for their future endeavours. Director (Personnel) Harsh Nath Mishra also expressed pride in their achievements, noting that their hard work and dedication have brought honour to CCL, their parents, and the state of Jharkhand.

This achievement marks a significant milestone for the students, their families, and the CCL CSR team. The “CCL Ke Lal & CCL Ki Ladli” initiative, launched in 2012, aims to nurture talented students from economically weaker sections and CCL command areas in Jharkhand.

The program provides comprehensive support, including coaching for engineering entrance exams (JEE-Mains/Advanced/Others), formal schooling, hostel accommodation, food, test series, and medical facilities.

Originally, enrolling 11 boys, the initiative focused on quality education for grades XI and XII and raising awareness about engineering entrance exams in rural areas, informed a Public Relations official of CCL.

Due to its success, the program expanded to include girls in 2016, aligning with the Government of India’s “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” initiative, he said.

Through this initiative, CCL not only meets the nation’s energy demands but also fulfills its social commitments by providing educational opportunities and fostering development at the grassroots level. Central Coalfields Limited remains dedicated to ensuring the nation’s energy security while supporting the aspirations of young students.
