DPS Bokaro hosts Career Guidance Fair to unveil Diverse Higher Education Pathways

Bokaro: DPS Bokaro organized its Career Guidance Fair 2024 on Tuesday to provide students with insights into higher education and career prospects. The event, held on the school campus, featured representatives from leading universities across the country, offering valuable information on contemporary career options and emerging challenges.

The fair was inaugurated by renowned career consultant Shankar Muralidharan, along with Sunil Prajapati, Director of ‘Educators India,’ and the school Principal, Dr. A.S. Gangwar.

Muralidharan, the keynote speaker, addressed students from Classes 11 and 12, encouraging them to align their career choices with the evolving global landscape. He highlighted the opportunities and challenges posed by Artificial Intelligence (AI), urging students to use this technology responsibly. Muralidharan also advised students to avoid confusion in their career selection by focusing on their personal interests, setting clear goals, and pursuing them with patience and dedication. He further emphasized entrepreneurship as a promising career path.

The fair provided students with up-to-date information on a wide range of career fields, including medicine, engineering, civil services, management, finance, commerce, journalism, law, IT, AI, design, and multimedia. Nearly 20 universities from across India, including institutions from Jharkhand, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Karnataka, West Bengal, Telangana, and Bengaluru, participated in the event, with several offering on-the-spot application services.

In his address, Principal Dr. Gangwar underscored the importance of such events in helping students explore diverse career options and make informed decisions about their future. He emphasized the need for students to stay well-informed about the wide array of career opportunities in today’s rapidly changing educational environment.

The event was welcomed by Head Girl Riddhima Kaushal, while Vice Head Girl Mansi Pandey compered the program. Head Boy Kanhaiya Bhardwaj delivered the vote of thanks at the conclusion of the fair.
