Bokaro: Delhi Public School (DPS), Bokaro recently held a grand Graduation Ceremony to honor the academic achievements of its Class V students, marking their transition from primary to middle school.
The event was graced by Birendra Kumar Tiwari, Director Incharge of SAIL, Bokaro Steel Plant, who served as the Chief Guest.
The ceremony began with a warm welcome, followed by the presentation of saplings to symbolize the school’s ‘Go Green’ initiative. This was followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge.
The students then delighted the audience with a melodious welcome song and a performance of the school anthem. The highlight of the event was the ‘Krishna Leela’ dance-drama, where 100 students depicted different stages of Lord Krishna’s life, portraying the triumph of good over evil. A total of 263 students were awarded certificates, donning their graduation gowns and caps.
In his address, Chief Guest Birendra Kumar Tiwari congratulated the graduates, describing them as future changemakers who would shape society, the nation, and the world. He commended DPS Bokaro as the leading institution for holistic education in the city, adding that its alumni represent the school globally. “Every child is unique, and it is our responsibility as educators and parents to nurture their potential,” he said.
Principal Dr. A.S. Gangwar also congratulated the graduates, emphasizing that their success is a result of collaboration between the school, students, and parents. He urged parents to protect their children from the overuse of technology and to foster creativity, as today’s students are tomorrow’s global leaders.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks and the singing of the National Anthem.
