JNS: IISCO Steel Plant of SAIL has achieved the best performance in almost all major production areas in FY 2022-23 by producing 2.59 million tons of Hot Metal, 2.42 million tons of Crude Steel and 2.32 million tons of Saleable Steel which is 8 %, 9% and 7% higher respectively as compared to the production last year.
While the dispatch of 2.30 million tons of Saleable Steel this fiscal year surpassed the dispatch of 2.18 million tons last year, highest ever Labour Productivity of 639 Tons of Crude Steel/Man/Year achieved this year also saw a quantum jump from the previous year’s best of 562.
Apart from this, other departments, including Coke Ovens, Sinter Plant, and Base-Mix Plant, have also contributed to this stupendous performance of ISP by clocking their best figures this fiscal.
“In March, we surpassed the ABP (Annual Business Plan) target in the production of Hot Metal, Crude Steel and Saleable Steel as well as in the area of Coke Ovens, Sinter Plant and Bar Mill,” said Director In-charge Brijendra Pratap Singh.
Singh, along with the Executive Directors of ISP, visited all the departments of the Plant at Burnpur to congratulate everyone on achieving this feat and wish them all the best in their pursuit to achieve higher targets for the next year. He also emphasized adapting safety as the first operating practice while focusing on the latest technologies to keep pace with global standards.
