India delivers two Dornier-228 aircraft to Guyana

JNS: In a significant development highlighting the growing partnership between the two nations, India has delivered two Dornier-228 aircraft to Guyana as part of a Line of Credit agreement.

A team from the Indian Air Force recently visited Guyana for the delivery of the aircraft.

The High Commission of India in Guyana announced on X, “High Commissioner welcomed IAF team visiting Guyana to deliver the HAL-228 aircraft as part of Line of Credit from India to Guyana. A new chapter in India-Guyana partnership begins.”

MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal shared on X, “A new chapter in – bilateral relations!”

He added, “Two aircraft manufactured by @HALHQBLR were delivered to Guyana. These would help in connecting remote areas, medical evacuation, and disaster response.”

The relationship between India and Guyana, since Guyana’s independence in May 1966, has been characterized by closeness and cordiality, with a high degree of understanding.

The warmth in the relation remains unaffected with changes in governments either in India or in Guyana.
