Wayanad: Congress leader and current Member of Parliament Rahul Gandhi has officially entered the electoral race for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, submitting his nomination papers for the Wayanad constituency on Wednesday.

Rahul commenced his nomination process after leading a vibrant roadshow in Kalpetta, culminating in the submission of his nomination papers to District Collector cum Election Officer Dr. Renuraj.

Expressing his commitment to the cause, Rahul stated, “along with every member of INDIA, will not rest until this battle” to “preserve our democracy” is won.

Following the formalities of filing his nomination from the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat, Gandhi affirmed his dedication to addressing the issues faced by the people of Wayanad, including human-animal conflicts. “I was always ready to bring Wayanad’s issues to the attention of the nation and the world,” he remarked.

“Wayanad is my home, and the people of Wayanad are my family. From them, I have learned a great deal over the last five years and received an abundance of love and affection. It is with great pride and humility that I file my nomination for Lok Sabha 2024 once again from this beautiful land.

This election is a fight for the soul of India; it is a fight to preserve our democracy from the forces of hatred, corruption, and injustice that seek to suppress the voice of Bharat Mata.

I, along with every member of INDIA, will not rest until this battle is won. We will bring together every citizen from Kanyakumari to Kashmir and from Manipur to Mumbai to strengthen our Union of States,” Rahul posted on X.
