New Delhi: Congress leader Sonia Gandhi took oath as the Rajya Sabha Member on Thursday. She was elected unopposed to the Upper House from Rajasthan.
Including Sonia Gandhi, 14 leaders took the oath of office as Rajya Sabha members on Thursday. The oath was administered by Vice President of India and Chairman of Rajya Sabha Jagdeep Dhankhar.
Meanwhile, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on social media X conveyed his best wishes for her new innings.
”My best wishes to the Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson, Sonia Gandhi as she begins her new innings, by taking oath in the Rajya Sabha, today,” Kharge wrote.
