Sonu Sood funds Rs 6 lakh for heart surgery of 9-month old baby

Ashis Sinha I JNS: Bollywood actor Sonu Sood again has stepped in to help someone in need. For the first time, Sood, the pandemic hero who has helped countless individuals over the course of the epidemic, covered the entire cost of a heart operation for a nine-month-old child.

Rajvir Barnwal, a nine-month-old son of Ashutosh Barnwal, resident of Jaridih Bazar in Bokaro District of Jharkhand, was suffering from heart disease.

Doctors of a Kolkata based hospital diagnosed a hole in the heart of the child (Rajvir) and devised a fee of up to Rs 6 lakh for the treatment. Ashutosh was unable to bear the expenditure and sought help from Vikash Kumar Gupta, a social activist of Bermo.

Gupta tweeted the matter to Sonu Sood, and he assured for all sorts of help.

Sonu had not just assured treatment but also asked the parents to shift the boy to Wadia Hospital Mumbai for his surgery.

And finally, Rajvir got new life; with the help of Sood, the surgery was successfully conducted at Wadia Hospital and Rajvir got discharged on 2 December from the hospital.

Later, Sood tweeted with a photo of Rajvir— “Ekdam hero lag raha hi chhora.”

Rajveer’s parents said that Sonu has helped us become a “messiah” in our hard times. “We will always be grateful to him.” They also expressed their gratitude towards the team members of Sood and social activist Vikash Gupta.
