Vedanta ESL Steel Honours 33 Youth for Achievements in Education, Skilling, and Sports

Bokaro: Vedanta ESL Steel Limited honoured 33 exceptional young individuals from the Chas and Chandankiyari blocks at a Mega Felicitation Ceremony held at the Vedanta ESL Archery Academy in Siyaljori. The event recognized the achievements of rural youth in education, skill development, and sports, showcasing the company’s dedication to community empowerment.

Around 200 guests attended, including dignitaries such as Susan Rajwar (Zila Parishad), Rohit Rajak (Mukhiya, Alkusha), and Vedanta ESL senior leadership. The ceremony celebrated individuals from the company’s CSR initiatives, including Project PRERNA, AAS Vidyalaya, and the Vedanta ESL Archery Academy.

Among the honorees were 13 students from Project PRERNA, with four passing the Jharkhand State Polytechnic Entrance Exams and nine advancing to the SSC Group Discussion stage. Top performers from AAS Vidyalaya’s Class X exams were also recognized. Additionally, graduates from the Vedanta ESL Skill School, especially those excelling in Solar PV Installer training, were acknowledged for their successful placements.

The highlight of the event was the recognition of six archers from the Vedanta ESL Archery Academy, including 13-year-old Kritika Kumari, who won a silver medal at the All-India School Championship and qualified for senior state-level trials.

Chief Operating Officer Ravish Sharma emphasized Vedanta ESL’s commitment to nurturing local talent and fostering community growth through education, skill-building, and sports, reinforcing the company’s impact on empowering the youth of Bokaro.
