Ranchi: The H5N1 avian influenza has been confirmed in poultry samples from the Ramakrishna Mission Ashram in Morabadi, Ranchi. The confirmation came from the ICAR-NIHSAD laboratory in Bhopal.
In response to this development, Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar Sinha has implemented precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the virus.
As of Tuesday, the purchase and sale of any live or dead poultry, poultry products, and eggs are banned within a 1-kilometer radius of the Ramakrishna Mission Ashram. Additionally, the transportation of these items is prohibited until further notice.
