BJP Unveils Election Manifesto for Jharkhand Assembly Elections

Ranchi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah officially released the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) manifesto for the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly Elections on Sunday. The elections for the 81-member assembly will be conducted in two phases on November 13 and November 20, with results scheduled to be announced on November 23.

The BJP’s manifesto outlines several key promises aimed at various demographics within the state. Notably, the party has pledged to provide financial support of Rs 2,100 per month to every woman in Jharkhand should they return to power.

Among the significant commitments made, the manifesto includes the provision of LPG cylinders at a subsidized rate of Rs 500 for every household, along with two free cylinders annually.

In a strong stance regarding land rights, the BJP has promised to restore lands occupied by infiltrators to the tribal communities. Additionally, the party stated that children of infiltrators who marry tribals will not be granted tribal status. The manifesto also emphasizes that tribals will be exempt from the Uniform Civil Code (UCC).

On education and employment, the BJP has vowed to tackle recent issues surrounding paper leaks and ensure accountability in examination processes. The party has set a target of creating 500,000 self-employment opportunities for youths over the next five years and aims to fill 287,500 government positions with a transparent recruitment process. The recruitment drive is expected to commence in the first cabinet meeting, with plans to complete the hiring of 150,000 positions by November 2025. Additionally, the manifesto promises the publication of an annual calendar for all examinations.

With the election dates approaching, the BJP’s manifesto lays out a comprehensive plan aimed at addressing key issues faced by the residents of Jharkhand, positioning the party as a serious contender in the upcoming polls.
