Yogi Adityanath death threat: 24-yr-old Fatima Khan arrested from Mumbai’s Thane

Mumbai: Mumbai police have arrested a 24-year-old woman, Fatima Khan, in connection with a death threat issued to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The arrest came shortly after the threat was reported, with authorities tracing the message back to Khan’s phone.

According to reports, Khan, who holds a BSc in Information Technology and has a history of mental illness, allegedly sent a WhatsApp message demanding that Adityanath resign within ten days or face dire consequences. The message ominously referenced the murder of Baba Siddique, stating that the Chief Minister would meet a similar fate if he did not comply.

Khan resides in Thane, near Mumbai, with her family, where her father operates a timber business. The Mumbai Traffic Police control room received the threatening message late Saturday from an anonymous number.

This incident marks the third reported threat against a public figure in Mumbai since the murder of Baba Siddique. Recently, the police received separate threats targeting Bollywood actor Salman Khan, demanding payments of Rs 2 crore and Rs 5 crore, respectively. In connection with those threats, a man from Bandra was arrested.

Authorities continue to investigate the matter as they remain vigilant against threats to public safety.
