* Hemant Soren to take oath as CM on November 28*
Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren met Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar at Raj Bhavan on Sunday, where he officially submitted his resignation. The Governor accepted the resignation and requested Soren to continue in his duties until an alternative arrangement is made. Governor Gangwar also invited Soren to form a new government.
Following this, a delegation consisting of representatives from the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), Congress, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), and CPI (ML) presented a letter of support from elected MLAs to the Governor, endorsing the formation of a new government under Hemant Soren’s leadership.
The Governor formally appointed Hemant Soren as the nominated Chief Minister and invited him to proceed with forming the government.
Speaking to reporters outside Raj Bhavan, Chief Minister Soren explained that by resigning from the current government, he had presented a claim for forming a new administration. He confirmed that the Governor entrusted him with the responsibility of acting Chief Minister and reiterated the swearing-in ceremony would be held on November 28.
The delegation accompanying Soren included party in-charges from Congress, RJD, and the Left parties.
