Cultural Week concludes on a Grand Note at DPS

 

dsc_9646The three-day long cultural fiesta concluded with a big bang with exceptional coordination, synchronisation along with harmony and rhythm at DPS Bokaro on Wednesday.

The children presented amazing compositions displaying the valour of Rani Laxmibai, the ideology of Rabindranath Tagore, the words of Nida Fazli, the voice of Amitabh Bachhan, the cries of Malala Yusufzai and the heart touching message of the great poet Sunil Joshi on the strength and beauty of a girl child.

Amidst all Jhelum House with their composition on the strength and beauty of a girl child was declared the winner followed by Sutlej House for their composition on Nida Fazli’s ‘safar’ while Raavi House bagged the third position for their message voiced by Malala, school authority informed.

In the primary wing the theme for Group Song presentation was ‘Elements of Nature’, Jhelum House, stood first for their presentation on ‘Maati Maati Mai Maati’ followed by Sutlej House presenting ‘Pranam Brahmaputra Namami’ and Jamuna House presenting ‘Boondan Boondan Barse Megha’ was declared third, he said.

All unique in creation and composition, the jury members had a really tough time to judge the best. The members of the jury included Pandit Chetan Kumar Joshi along with Vicky Anand Pathak, Mrityunjay Bhattacharya, Ankita Chakravorty, Dhananjay Chakravorty, Sweety Anil Kumar, Saurav Chatterjee, Kamini Kanta Swain, Rita Banik and Rani Premlata Jha who assessed as well as encouraged the participants.

The special guests on the occasion were N Muralidharan, Pro Vice Chairman, DPS, Chas and Neekamal Sinha, Principal, DAV Sector VI, Bokaro.

The Director and Principal of DPS Bokaro, Dr. Hemlata S Mohan appreciated the students for their exemplary performances and added that in order to achieve the best and remain on the top a lot of hard work is needed.

“We always strive to live up to the high expectations and set a benchmark each year by raising the standard of presentations and this is not possible without the hard work of students under the guidance of their teachers,” she remarked.
