The event, held in the school’s Primary Wing, concluded on a high note Thursday with students dazzling the audience with their creativity and charm.

More than 400 students participated in the competition, each showcasing their imaginative costumes and meaningful messages. On the first day, Grade 1 students wowed the crowd with their portrayals of animals, birds, aquatic creatures, and plants, such as lions, pandas, dolphins, and trees. Their performances highlighted the need for conservation and environmental protection.

Other students dressed as iconic figures, including Subhas Chandra Bose, Rani Lakshmi Bai, Swami Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Albert Einstein, many of whom used eco-friendly materials like jute and paper to create their costumes, promoting sustainability and recycling.

On day two, Prep students celebrated India’s cultural diversity, showcasing traditional attire from states like Jharkhand, Rajasthan, and Punjab, as well as tribal communities. Some children embodied marine life forms such as octopuses, jellyfish, and turtles to raise awareness about aquatic conservation, while others dressed as popular cartoon characters like Spiderman, Chota Bheem, and Doraemon, advocating for pollution control and nature preservation.

The grand finale on Thursday featured Nursery students dressing as community helpers, insects, flowers, and trees, emphasizing teamwork and service. Pilots, doctors, police officers, and carpenters took the stage, showcasing the value of collaboration and dedication to society. The best performers across various categories were awarded certificates, celebrating their creativity and efforts.

Dr. A.S. Gangwar, Principal of DPS Bokaro, commended the young participants for their enthusiasm and active involvement. “The focus is not on winning or losing but on learning to express oneself, developing social skills, and building confidence,” he said. He also praised the collective effort of students, parents, and teachers in making the event a resounding success.
