JNS I Bokaro: Students of DPS Chas brought laurels to their school by winning several medals in different Olympiads. Seventy-eight students won the medals includes 02 Gold Medal in Zonal Level, 16 Gold Medal of Distinction and 60 Gold Medal of Excellence in International General Knowledge Olympiad (IGKO), International English Olympiad (IEO), National Science Olympiad (NSO), International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) which was conducted by Gurugram based noted organisation ‘Science Olympiad Foundation’, informed the school authority.
The Zonal Level gold medalists in IGKO are Aalap Gorai of Class 4 and Kishlay Sahu of Class 6; they also received gift vouchers and a certificate for their excellent performance.
In IGKO, Pawan Kumar Gorain and Soham Vinayak Nagarkar of Class 2, Aditya Kumar of Class 4 and Sourav Kumar Dey of Class 10 won Gold Medal of Distinction.
In IEO, Prakriti Choudhary and Aaradhya Sharma of Class 2, Aerik Singh and Dakshesh Goswami of Class 3, Saksham Singh of Class 5, Aditi Shubham and Akanksha of Class 8 while Sifa Praveen of Class 10 and Sreijan Sinha of Class 11 bagged Gold Medal of Distinction.
In NSO, Aditi Shubham of Class 8 got Gold Medal of Distinction while in International Mathematics Olympiad, Shreyam Lath of Class 04 and Shruti Singh of Class 10 received Gold Medal of Distinction.
It is worth mentioning that Zonal Topper Medals are awarded to those students who bag top-3 Zonal Rank while the medals of distinction is awarded to students for achieving Zonal Ranks 4 to 25 and the top rank holders from each class are awarded with the Gold Medal of Excellence.
Dr. Hemlata S Mohan, Chief Mentor, DPS Chas, congratulated the winners and wished them success in their future. She said that proper guidance of the teachers, hard work, and sincerity always pays rich dividends. “The effort shown is praiseworthy, and it signifies that the students are preparing themselves for a greater role ahead. These achievements will bring glory to their alma mater and their parents”, she remarked.
Dean Academics Dr. Sanjay Kumar Mallick expressed his happiness at the enthusiastic participation of the students in such competitions. He congratulated every student on their success and wished them good luck for upcoming endeavours.
