ISRO to launch Chandrayaan-3 on July 14

JNS: Chandrayaan 3 is scheduled to be launched on the 14th of this month at approximately 2:35 p.m. from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, announced Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) on Thursday.

The ISRO will launch the ambitious Chandrayaan-3 Mission to demonstrate the key technology required to land the spacecraft on the moon.

The objective of the Chandrayaan-3 mission, which is a continuation of the Chandrayaan-2 project, is to demonstrate an end-to-end capability in safely landing and wandering on the lunar surface. It includes Land Rover and Rover configurations in its makeup.

To test and showcase new technologies necessary for interplanetary missions, the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft includes an indigenous Lander module, a Propulsion module, and a Rover.

The primary goals of the Chandrayaan-3 mission are to make a controlled and gentle landing on the moon’s surface, send a rover to explore the moon’s surface and carry out scientific investigations directly on the moon.
