Live Exhibition organised at DPS, Bokaro

dsc_8155A two-day Live Exhibition- ‘Spandan’ and ‘Sphutan’ inaugurated at Delhi Public School (DPS) Bokaro for Senior and Primary Wing respectively on Friday. The Live Exhibition displayed projects and exhibits of all the different subjects, specialized art forms, dance and music in an inclusive and integrated manner. ‘Spandan’  was inaugurated by Mrityunjay Kumar Baranwal DC, Bokaro while ‘Sphutan’  was inaugurated by S K Singh ED (Works), BSL and Ruchi Baranwal.

Baranwal appreciated the unique exhibition and said that this is a wonderful platform for the students to display and discover imagination and remarked that DPS, Bokaro has always been known for the holistic development of students. He also appreciated Deepansh and Koshish meant for the underprivileged children and women run under the aegis of DPS, Bokaro. He remarked that they learnt about Robotics during the second and third year of Engineering while students these days know about it from a very tender formative age.

He urged that besides scientific temperament the students should also imbibe values like being compassionate with each other and urged everyone to work for the betterment of the society.

Appreciating the programme in the primary wing, S K Singh urged the students to become a good citizen and serve the society. Director and Principal DPS, Bokaro, Dr. Hemlata S Mohan appreciated the efforts of all the participants and said that this is a platform to integrate and synchronize all the departments to showcase science, art and culture together. She further said that the exhibition will be open for the parents too.

In the exhibition showcased stalls of different subjects and streams including Environment and Health Education, Computer Science & IP, Robotics, Physical Education, Art & Craft, Music and Dance, Hindi, Sanskrit, English, Soft Skill, Quiz, ISA and Experiential Learning (with French and German), Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Social Science. The exhibition also showcased the stall of Deepansh and Koshish and exhibited the curriculum content through role play, declamation, demonstrations of robots and other experiments.

A unique wish tree was put up with the concept of ‘Joy of Giving’ and the guests were requested to put up their wishes on the tree in the form of leaves. This is done with the traditional belief of ‘KALPTARU’ which fulfils the wishes of everyone serving humanity. DC wished for making society better while Ruchi Baranwal wife of DC wished for an improved Education System in the Government Schools. DC was also presented with his own portrait made live by Hardik Shree, a class 7 student.

During the programme, Dr. Sathya Priya Kartik along with Pravin Sharma, Vice Principal, P. Shailaja Jayakumar and Dr. Manisha Tiwari Headmistresses, DPS, Bokaro were also present.
