Bokaro: The Mithila Mahila Samiti, a unit of the Mithila Sanskritik Parishad, organized its Holi Milan Samaroh on Monday at Milan Mandap in Sector 4. The event brought together members of the community to celebrate the spirit of Holi in advance, exchanging greetings with abir and gulal.
The gathering was filled with vibrant celebrations as attendees sang Holi songs and danced to the festive tunes. Mithila Mahila Samiti’s President Poonam Mishra and Secretary Abha Jha honored outgoing president Seema Jha for her contributions.
President Mishra emphasized that Holi is a festival that fosters love, harmony, and goodwill in society. The program began with a Bhagwati Vandana and continued with beautiful renditions of popular Holi songs such as Mithila Mein Ram Khelthi Hori and Biraj Mein Holi Khelat Nandlal.
The event was conducted by Kamala Jha and attended by several prominent members, including Kiran Mishra, Sheela Mishra, Amita Jha, Leela Jha, Ruby Thakur, Seema Jha, Beena Jha, Meera Mishra, and many others. The festive spirit and camaraderie of the event highlighted the unity and cultural richness of the Mithila community in Bokaro.
