Lucknow: After the results of the nine assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh, all the newly elected MLAs were sworn in today, Friday, by the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Satish Mahana. After the ceremony, the BJP legislators went to the party office, where they were honoured. During the oath-taking ceremony, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath congratulated the winning candidates, calling their victory a triumph for the state’s development and the people’s trust.
Out of the nine newly elected, seven were from the BJP and two from the Samajwadi Party. The victorious candidates who took the oath included Ramveer Singh from Kundarki, Deepak Patel from Phulpur, Surendra Singh from Khair, Sanjeev Sharma from Ghaziabad, Dharmraj Nishad from Katehari, Suchismita Maurya from Majhwan, and Mithlesh Pal from Mirapur of RLD. All of these candidates expressed their gratitude to the public for their trust and support and emphasized prioritizing the development of their constituencies. All of them reaffirmed their commitment to “Nation First” and, in unison, seven out of the nine elected MLAs expressed their loyalty to the leadership of Modi and Yogi.
After the oath-taking ceremony, Speaker Mahana addressed the newly elected members, stating that being a member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly is a matter of pride. He said, “You have been given the opportunity to serve the public.” Mahana told the BJP legislators that if they go among the people to discuss the work of the Chief Minister, they will win every time. “You have two and a half years; spend as much time as possible among the people. Also, your presence should be visible in the assembly. Your performance here will be a message to the public of your active involvement.” During the oath ceremony, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, and Brajesh Pathak, along with many other BJP leaders and workers, were present.
