Parineeti Chopra, Adar Poonawalla bags India UK Achievers Honours

ANS: Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra received the prestigious India UK Achievers Honours as the Outstanding Achiever in the “Arts, Entertainment and Culture” category.

In addition to Parineeti, Serum Institute of India CEO Adar Poonawalla, and Indian women’s football team goalkeeper Aditi Chauhan were among the key recipients of the first-ever India UK Outstanding Achiever Honours in London.

The National Indian Students and Alumni Union (NISAU) UK, in collaboration with the British Council in India and the UK’s Department for International Trade (DIT), established the India UK Achievers Honours, which were presented at an awards ceremony on Wednesday evening, to honour the success of Indian students who attended universities in the United Kingdom.

In honour of India’s 75 years of independence, the India-UK diaspora living bridge was strengthened by honouring 75 great achievers and some notable Outstanding Achievers.

Announcing this happy news to their followers on social media Parineeti wrote, “Such an exciting development! I am honoured to be receiving the OUTSTANDING ACHIEVERS AWARD, in Arts, Entertainment, and Culture, at the India UK Achievers Honours. Life has come full circle and I’m so glad to be back where it all started! Having studied at Manchester Business School, to be able to come back, receive this award, and celebrate it at the UK Parliament is such an incredible, special feeling. So grateful to the British Council and NISAU for this honour. I cannot wait to celebrate with my friends and family.!”
