Workshop held at DPS Bokaro

Bokaro: With the aim to understand the role of the teacher as a facilitator a workshop on ‘Classroom Discipline and Management of Emotional and Behavioural Disorders’ organized at DPS Bokaro in association with Pearson.

More than 140 teachers participated in this learning experience. Highlighting the paradigm shift in the modern learning Paromita emphasised on the importance of 4 Cs viz. Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration and Creativity in K-12 system.

Through various interactive and innovative activities, she deliberated on some pertinent issues related to the latest pedagogy which included Inclusive Education, Classroom Management, Positive Criticism, ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), MI (Multiple Intelligence), etc.

Paromita Mitra Bhowmik was the resource expert, who is an eminent psychologist with more than two decades of experience as a resource person for training and development, a corporate trainer, a prolific writer, a registered rehabilitation psychologist who was also awarded ‘The Rising Leadership Award 2017’ in Psychology.

A S Gangwar, Principal DPS Bokaro said, “In the present scenario, it becomes imperative that teachers identify the needs of the students and cater them accordingly. If a child cannot learn the way we teach, we should teach them the way they can learn. It is high time that we take our focus off disabilities and shift it to the abilities.”
