Jharkhand relaxes Lockdown curbs; permits Bars, Restaurants till 10 PM

JNS: Jharkhand government on Friday increased some relaxations with conditions in the ongoing lockdown like restrictions until further notice; allowed bars and restaurants can be open till 10 PM while all other shops of the State will remain open till 8 PM.

However, from 8 PM on Saturday to 6 AM on Monday, all shops, except vegetables, fruits, grocery, restaurant, bar, eateries, and essential services, will remain closed.

All Government and private offices can operate with 100 per cent manpower.

Cinema Halls, Bars, Multiplexes and clubs can open with 50 per cent capacity, while teaching and non-teaching staff in colleges and schools will remain present.

Although schools and colleges will open, offline classes are allowed only for classes 9 to Class 12 only after their parents’ permission. The classes will be held for only four hours till 12 and parents’ permission will be mandatory for students to attend the classes while online classes will continue.

For colleges, classes for the final year students of UG and PG will open and can be conducted till 12 PM only. At least the first dose of vaccine will be mandatory for the students.
Skill Development Centres, ITIs and Polytechnic institutes can also open with students and teachers having at least one first jab of the vaccine. Similarly, coaching institutes can open with 50 per cent capacity and the students above the age of 18 years can attend classes. Students and teachers will have to take at least the first shot of the Covid-19 vaccine.

Examinations of the State and Central Government will take place. Offline examinations for final year students of UG and PG courses will be conducted. Religious places will remain closed for devotees and the ban on processions will continue. Fairs and exhibitions will remain banned in the State. The government has allowed interstate bus services and there will be no need of e-pass for interstate movement of people. Wearing a mask at public places will be mandatory, along with social distancing.
