Mritunjay Sharma joins IIT ISM as Assistant Registrar

JNS: Mritunjay Sharma assumed charge as the Assistant Registrar of IIT ISM (Indian School of Mines) Dhanbad.

He is a Gold Medalist in Master’s Degree specialising in Human Resource and Information Technology from IIMT, Bhubaneswar.

Sharma also worked as Registrar of Interscience Institute of Management & Technology, Bhubaneswar, an AICTE approved autonomous institution. Sharma is a former Administrator cum Public Relations Officer at the Delhi Public School, Bokaro worked for around eight years in office administration and supervision.

He understands the processes and procedures that function in an academic setting, including infrastructure development, housekeeping, security, administration, and others.

Sharma has won National Award Best B-Plan (6-7th February 2009) at CURA 09, NIT, Warangal; also won accolades from Jharkhand RTI Forum.

He also worked as Assistant Editor in Vikash Prabhat, a quarterly newspaper on Development, Women Issues (2005-06) published by Krishi Gram Vikash Kendra, one of the leading NGOs of Jharkhand.

Sharma also acted as Secretary to IRNet and IOAJ and conducted International Conference across the country through virtual mode. He travelled extensively pan India and gained an understanding of the communication protocols required in this environment.

“One of my strengths is my ability to multi-task and carries out a diverse range of responsibilities attributed to administrative staff in a timely and effective manner,” said Sharma.
