Amarnath Yatra scheduled to commence from 1st July

JNS: In view of the Amarnath Yatra, scheduled to begin on 1 July, security forces and Civil Administration Officers met at Budgam to prepare.

The conference’s primary objective was to enhance synergy, interaction, and coordination between the civil authorities and various security agencies, aiming to ensure a smooth and successful pilgrimage to the revered holy cave shrine.

The Yatra, spanning 62 days, will follow two routes: the traditional 48-km Nunwan route located in Pahalgam, within the Anantnag district of south Kashmir, and the 14-km Baltal way in the Ganderbal district of Central Kashmir.

According to the Defence Spokesperson, the conference involved detailed briefings and discussions, providing a platform to address crucial matters pertaining to the security of the Yatra.

All officials in attendance emphasized the importance of harmonious collaboration among government agencies to facilitate a seamless and prosperous Yatra.

The Spokesperson further stated that a comprehensive assessment of security measures was conducted to ensure optimal coordination among all security agencies and the civil administration.

This concerted effort aimed to achieve the defined objectives of an incident-free Yatra.
