Dhanbad: Anupama Singh, the Congress nominee and wife of Bermo MLA Jayamangal Singh (Anup Singh), along with two other candidates, submitted their nomination papers for the Dhanbad Lok Sabha seat on Wednesday.
Accompanied by Jharia Congress MLA Purnima Neeraj Singh, senior Congress leader and INTUC national secretary AK Jha, Rani Devi (mother-in-law) and Alpana Tiwari, Anupama Singh filed her nomination papers.
The polling for the Dhanbad Lok Sabha seat is scheduled for May 25. The seat has been allocated to the Congress under the INDI Alliance.
The other two candidates who filed their nomination papers were Jagdish Rawani of the Marxists Coordination Committee (MCC) and Dipak Kumar Das of the People’s Democratic Party (P).
