CCL commemorates International Labour Day with grand ceremony in Ranchi

Ranchi: Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) marked International Labour Day with a grand ceremony at its Ranchi headquarters. The event began with a tribute to CCL’s martyrs at the Shaheed Smarak.

Nilendu Kumar Singh, CMD of CCL, praised the dedication and hard work of all employees, including outsourced personnel, for surpassing the production target of 84 million tonnes in the 2023-24 financial year, achieving a record-breaking output of 86.1 million tonnes. He highlighted the dignity and strength associated with labor.

Harish Duhan, Director (Technical Operations), and Pawan Kumar Mishra, Director (Finance), emphasized the importance of teamwork and thanked all workers for their dedication. Union representatives, including Ramendra Kumar, congratulated the new CMD and pledged to work together for the company’s success.

The event included a lamp-lighting ceremony, speeches, and the felicitation of outstanding officers and employees from all CCL areas. A cultural program added to the celebratory atmosphere.

CCL, a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, is India’s largest coal producer, playing a crucial role in meeting the nation’s coal requirements.
