Apple iPhone: assembling starts in India
iPhone (Apple), the world’s most powerful personal device is now available as ‘Made in India’. Apple has started assembling iphones in India as Bengaluru. The company completed a first trial run with the manufacture of its cheapest handset, the iPhone SE this year in 2017 March; likely to be available from next week for the Indian customers.
The Wall Street Journal reported that production has finally begun. The handsets are being assembled by Taiwanese contractor Wistron and shipped to the customers shortly. “About 25,000-50,000 units of iPhone SE are being assembled and shipped on a monthly basis, and the devices will be sold across the India offline and online retail stores”, sources said.
