Four Delhi Public School, Bokaro, alumni – Nitish Kumar Singh, Kumar Gaurav, Riya Kejriwal and Anil Kumar – showed their brilliance in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination 2017 by their meritorious performance.
Nitish Kumar Singh – 23 Rank (2008 batch of DPS), Kumar Gaurav -134 Rank (2005 batch of DPS), Riya Kejriwal -176 Rank (2010 batch of DPS) and Anil Kumar -301 Rank (2009 batch of DPS) have qualified in the most coveted civil services exam, school authority informed.
Nitish Kumar Singh holds a B.Tech Degree from ISM, Dhanbad, Kumar Gaurav who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorke and Management Degree from XLRI, Jamshedpur worked in a KPMG company before qualifying UPSC. Riya Kejriwal did her Graduation form Indraprasth College, Delhi and Post Graduation from Delhi School of Economics, before qualifying for the Civil Services. Anil Kumar holds a B.Tech Degree and worked as Deputy Manager in ACC Cement for two years.
The school that is characterised by high level of peer achievement and a demanding curriculum tailored to each student’s interests took humble pride in the achievement of its former students, said the school authority adding “In past few years’ students of DPS Bokaro are proving their mettle in this coveted examination; Aman Kumar, Rohan Kumar Jha, Ravi Kumar, Ajay Prakash, Rahul Kumar Sinha, Chandra Mohan Thakur, Saagar Srivastava and Manish Vijay are among a few Dipsites”.
Addressing to the school assembly on Monday Riya said, “Nothing is impossible, hard work and perseverance is the key to success”. Expressing her gratitude Riya recalled the time spent in the school and said that the school and the teachers provided a congenial atmosphere for students to think, grow and progress.
Dr. Hemlata S. Mohan, Director and Principal of the school expressed immense happiness on this achievement of the DPS students and congratulated them.
